G'Day, Mate!

After our Vermont trip, Alex was off to Australia for almost 2 weeks for business. He spent a week in Sydney, and then a few days in Melbourne.

Here were some of the highlights from his trip (in picture form):
Alex's approach to the Sydney Harbor bridge. He actually climbed the outside of the bridge!!!

The Sydney Harbor bridge - you walk along the left arch of the bridge (yes, harnessed in and with a guide).

Alex's view from the top - pretty incredible, huh?

Alex and his new koala friend at the zoo!

Yep, there were kangaroos at the zoo!

And a fast-moving Tasmanian devil too!
The view of the Sydney skyline (with the Opera House and a part of the Bridge) from the zoo.

Finally, Alex got to take in his first AFL game in style. Go Geelong!!!
Our next stop (together)...San Francisco!!

Halfway there!

Last weekend we were in Vermont for cousin Dan's wedding to Erica. It was absolutely beautiful, as was the bride. While there, Lorraine hit 20 weeks, the halfway point in her pregnancy. Here are two pictures from that weekend (thanks again to Lara for the dress for the wedding!):

Introducing...Our Baby BOY

Well, after a successful closing on the sale of our townhouse on Friday, we were off to another office - the one where Lorraine got the BIG ultrasound. Our baby was NOT shy, and we knew immediately that we're expecting a bouncing baby BOY! The two best pics are below (his head is on the right in both pictures).

For the record, we will NOT be sharing names before the birth. Oh, and the ultrasound placed the due date at December 18 - Happy Birthday to Alex!
We're off to Vermont in a few days for cousin Dan's wedding, then Alex takes off for 3 weeks of solid travel. Hope everyone is doing well!

New address (and new house!)

Well, the big move is finally upon us. The movers are coming Saturday morning, and we've been busy packing for days. We'll be out of commission for the next few days, but here's our new address: 7520 Salem Road, Falls Church, VA 22043. (The rest of our contact info is the same)

We'll post some pictures once we get settled!

Belly shots

Well, with our upcoming move, we've been a bit remiss in posting these last few weeks. But not to worry - we've been documenting Lorraine's pregnancy.

Here's Lorraine at 13 weeks - just after we announced to everyone:

And here's Lorraine at 16 weeks:

We'll be finding out the sex of the baby in a few weeks - we'll be sure to let you all know!

57 pounds of maternity clothes!!!

Once we announced the pregnancy, Alex's cousin Lara was so generous and offered to ship Lorraine her maternity clothes (that she no longer needed). Of course, we gladly accepted the offer! Imagine our surprise, when an enormous box weighing 57 POUNDS showed up on our doorstep! In case you're wondering what 57 pounds of maternity clothes look like, we took some pictures:

Needless to say, Lorraine will be one stylin' preggo!! Thanks again Lara!!

Weddings!

Those of you who know us well know that our social lives have long revolved around weddings. This past May proved no different - we went to not 1, but 2 weddings!

The first wedding was for a good work friend of Alex's, Kris(tin) who married Chris. This wedding took place on Harbour Island in the Bahamas. Rather than just go down for the weekend, we decided to make it a week-long vacation, and also celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. We spent 3 nights on Harbour Island, and then 3 nights on Paradise Island at the Atlantis resort. It was a great break for us, and Lorraine didn't drive Alex too crazy with her midnight milkshake cravings.

The pink sand beach on Harbour Island - fantastic!

Enjoying the water slides at Atlantis!

Memorial Day weekend we headed up to Portsmouth, NH to celebrate our good college friend (and one of our bridesmaids) Tash's wedding to David. It was a great weekend away - lots of lobster (yum!) and fun!

Us and the happy couple!

And don't worry - we still have plenty more weddings to attend!
