August Days

Our apologies for not posting sooner - Lorraine was in Florida celebrating at Jodi's bridal shower, and then Alex was in Vegas for Scott's bachelor party. The Krupas also came down for a visit.

Have we mentioned that Cooper can pull up on his own? And how that's all he wants to do? No?
Well, here's the pictures to prove it!

And finally, our rough and tumble kid now has bruises to show for it!

The toothless wonder is no more!

In the past two weeks, Cooper has learned how to sit up on his own, pull up, and got his first tooth! So many changes in a short time!

Here's how we spent the past week -

Banging on a pan

"Talking" on mommy's phone

Riding Matt and Jena's bear ottoman

Shopping with Daddy's credit card

Helping with laundry

Bath time in my new duck tub

Showing off my new tooth!!

And here's video proof of Cooper's new pull up skills!

An afternoon with (most of) the Gables!!!

Many of you may remember Mandi as our matron of honor at our wedding. She and her Air Force husband Dan now live outside of London, and have an almost 7 year old son (Drew) and an almost 5 year son (Ethan). We haven't seen them since the Fourth of July - in 2004! Mandi and the boys were back in the states visiting her folks, and stopped by Sunday afternoon to say hello and catch up.

Here's Mandi (looking fab), Drew, and Cooper in our backyard:

Needless to say, a great time was had by all. If only we didn't live thousands of miles apart!

We are very busy!

Cooper is a very active child. Sitting still is not part of his lifestyle. As a result, we've been very busy exploring things and interacting.

To start off this post, here are the 7 months pictures - Cooper is no longer content to just sit with Cookie and koala:

Yup, Cooper will eat just about anything...

Since Cooper started eating solid foods a couple of months ago, we've had a bit of a bet as to what would be the first thing he wouldn't like to eat (because so far, he'll pretty much eat anything)... He loves the usuals (bananas, watermelon), some of the things Lorraine wouldn't dare eat (peas, string beans), and even some things that make Grandma Jean cringe (like lemons and limes). Just about the only thing he wasn't so sure of was hummus...

Here's a short clip of Cooper doing his best feline impersonation.

Weekend fun with the Gershmans!

(Alternative title - Fun in the water!). Grandpa G came up this past weekend to spend time with the family. He was the designated water escort for Cooper.

Vacation!

Mommy and Daddy just went to Aruba for a few days, while Cooper and Grandma G stayed home and played together. Here are some pictures from our time apart:

Oh, how cute they are!

Back at home, Cooper sent us messages everyday through Grandma G. The first one was:

Then he reminded us to get him a little something:

When asked what he wanted, this is what he replied:

But we told him no candy until he got teeth. So then Cooper wanted:

This was his last message to us:

Welcome home!
