Cruising...on a Sunday afternoon

Lorraine, Alex and Cooper got to say goodbye to the house stress for a week to enjoy a cruise to Bermuda.  It was great getting some time to relax and enjoy our company.  And Parker got some quality bonding time with G.G. so it was a win-win for everyone!

Hot July

After the storm, we did our best to try to get back to normal and enjoy the summer with the boys.  Here are some pictures of our fun around town:

Crash!

Our summer was moving along quite nicely, when Mother Nature rudely interrupted.  On June 29, a severe storm known as a derecho hit the metro DC area.  And we got hit hard.  Two large oak trees came down on our property.  We were all fine, but not all of our house was.  We are still sorting out the mess and repairs are scheduled to start next month.  Here are a few pictures of the damage:

Have no fear, Alex is here!
